So at the Korean market...
Jul. 15th, 2007 03:14 pmWe went to the Big H or the Hmart (sounds like a person with a hairlip saying it) to get groceries. Great shopping there - not good veggies outside of the greens and the specifically Korean / Japanese veggies. Fruits and regular American veggies, you can forget their quality - not good. My apricots lasted all of 3 days, when the Whole Foods fruits last at least a week out in the open.
We were walking through the veggie section toward the meats when I started singing to the music without realizing it... Matt turned to me and said, "YOU KNOW THIS?" It was a compilation, sort of medley of 80s Italian songs, all in English. Yep, I knew it - listen to it almost every day at work since it's in my music collections on my hard drive and on my MP3 player that I use on the way to work. He goes, "You're the ONLY one in this ENTIRE Korean-laden market who's singing this song. Even American-Italians don't know this song! I don't know this song (which is saying a lot about Matthew and his 80s music knowledge and exposure). You have such obscure and expansive tastes in music; I shouldn't really be surprised." And yet he was.
