A recent SETI discovery
Feb. 16th, 2008 10:10 pmA friend of mine (actually a guy I dated years ago) made a recent discovery together with his colleagues and collaborators of a solar system that looks a lot like our own solar system:

You can also just go to Google news and type 'planet', and you'll see a bunch of articles.
He's a great guy, very smart, and very funny - not to mention talented. Check out the articles. I wrote him a note to tell him that at work yesterday morning in the elevator, I saw a reference to his discovery (though unfortunately his name wasn't mentioned there). It was really exciting for me to see something relating to someone I know who's a shooting star in astronomy. (How corny was that?)
