Easy Ride - My thetans smiled
Feb. 1st, 2008 08:36 amToday's commute just became an excellent ride. I got up extra early because I was basically done sleeping (after 6.5 hours or so) by 6:00 AM. My honey's been getting steadily sicker since baby sitting for his sister last Friday.
I made the most of my extra time, too, with cleaning the kitchen, the breakfast nook, and the dining room (which became a new-fangled, rediscovered dumping ground after walking in the front door). I wanted to make sure that my baby didn't have to do anything but rest and get better - he's got bronchitis.
As a result of my early rising and perkiness, I eventually got on an earlier bus. At first entry, everybody with an empty seat next to them was being rude by putting all their bags on the seats, so that no one would ask them to move their things to sit next to them. I'm always tempted to say, "'Scuse me and begin moving toward the seat, setting my ass right down really quickly so the person (most often a female) has to rush to move their stuff. I know it's equally as rude, but it does give me a bit of inner satisfaction.
However, this morning I didn't feel like provoking a bad Friday vibe on anyone and decided to pass on a couple of packed extra seats (next to bitchy-looking womenz). But, alas, I did have to ask one woman to move her oversized purse for me to sit down. Along the way, even though there were still easily 4 inches between us, she kept ooching her stuff closer in, glancing my way slightly, restting her book, checking her leg to make sure I wasn't touching her, and the going back to reading. I ignored that (but obviously took note of it). Before I could plan something retaliatorily as equally bitchy, I decided against it, again not provoking a bad Friday vibe on anyone...
Karma, God, and my thetans smiled and she deboarded the bus at the ferry station! No one needed the seat next to me and I could spread out with a happy smile: I just got an easy ride!
