In my latest poll, one of my questions' answers included reflection. For me the major holidays and special days during the year cause me to consider where I am, what my life entails, what I find most important, what and/or who has affected me how, what might be missing in my life, where I've been, and possibly where I'm heading. Today, it's important to reflect on experiences, discoveries, or achievements I'm grateful to have made.

Experiences: When I started commuting into the city for my career (one of the best moves I've made in years!), it was clear to me that it would be very exciting. It never occurred to me that I would find as much joy in it as I do my new job. I'm thankful for that new beginning.

Discoveries: I discovered a few times this year that I'm the happiest I've ever been. Living my life with Matthew and us two discovering ourselves together as individuals in a relationship and ourselves as a wonderful team has been exhilarating and fulfilling. I'm so grateful to have Matthew in my life and for our lives to be intertwined.

Achievements: Matthew and I together have lost the equivalent of a small woman - 109 pounds. I personally could not have so easily worked and eaten off 55 of those pounds in as short a time. I'm so glad he was willing to work together and keep us both strong (even when I wanted to binge!) to lose as much as we have.

All in all, for me, this year represents a lot of change - in my physique, with my emotional state (leaving Pfizer - YAY!), and within my circle of friends (said Hellos and Good-byes). At times tumultuous, but overall positive.

How about you? What do you have to be thankful for this year?

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!
