wwcitizen | Drive to NC... Dodge Neon

Ugh! I hate Dodge Neons with a passion. This stupid car's gotten me around for about 3 weeks now, and alls I want is my car back. My car was involved in an idiotic accident over the holidays where the tire came down hard on a railroad track at just the right (worst) spot. Bent the wheel, so that the tire blew, cracked the oil pan, and blew out the power steering pump, not to mention dislodging a number of hoses. Fluids were pouring from the car at a relatively slow gush so that the car was able to make it another 3 miles before giving up the ghost. Thought it might have been totalled (a small part of me had hoped for that, actually, to justify a new car...), but in the end the repairs should cost only around $518. Thing is, my decuctible is $500, so that's a big hole in my pocket right now.

My family's in a dither about "Steve's visit to NC just after the holidays! We must have dinner together and play games since we really didn't do that over the holidays." Thing is, I just wanted to spend time with my youngest sister, since we have so much in common compared to everyone else in the family, oh, and we're the sane ones. Alas, my oldest sister must host the gaggle. Guaranteed she'll still be up tonight till about 2:00 AM cleaning - her place is a pig sty.

So, I'm here in NC to spend a few days with my family and hope to be back in NJ by the weekend WITH MY CAR!!
