Hot / cold & stinky face
Oct. 25th, 2007 08:52 amI checked the temp before leaving the house and it read 51 degrees! I was excited that it was getting colder - FINALLY! I'm really looking forward to wearing sweaters and jackets.
However, I forgot that due to my recent weightloss, I'm getting colder quicker and at higher temperatures; i.e. This morning's a bit nipplier than I anticipated. To make matters a little more irritating, I realized that I'd forgotten to slap on some shaving balm and spray on cologne.
Then no bus.
There were no buses coming for 10 minutes and then 3 buses flew by without stopping (which they do when they have no standing room). It's cold, rainy, and a little windy - still not complaining because I'm welcoming the Fall with open arms. Finally, a bus stops and glory hallelujah! It's EMPTY! I get pick o' the litter!!
As I'm getting comfy in my two-seater spot, others at later stops are getting on with smiles and perky steps to their empty seats. Except one. This one lady boards the bus with a "something's stinky" look on her face.
"God, it's so hot in here!" she exclaims to the slowly filling bus.
It's interesting how weight, hormones, and clothing change things for different people on days like today.
