Burned and cat-napping

wwcitizenYesterday, Matt and I went driving around Newport, RI, on Vespas. It was great cuz, even though we didn't really see any of the masions this trip, we went down some roads that neither Matt nor I had ever been down. He's always excited and happy that I introduce him to new things and experiences - things he'd never do himself - like take off down unknown roads, not knowing whether it's "legal" or where it'll take us. Me? I just go and keep going places till I'm told I can't go somewhere. Why not? That's my attitude.
I got the worst sunburn I've had in a long time, though, on the Vespa. Mostly on my forehead, but also partially on my forearms, nose, ears, and the back of my neck. I'm not going to blister, which is really good, but it sure hurts. I bought Burn Relief Gel with Aloe and Lidocaine, which has helped a bit, and sprayed some Vitamin C spray (from the Body Shop) on my face, too. I guess because I was burned, I was a bit more letargic than usual on the way to work. Typically, I would never fall asleep on the way to work, but for some reason I did today. I realized that I had fallen asleep when the train stopped at the end of the E line and I was disoriented with a faint recollection of a different place and a different frame of mind or thought process. It was strange to say the least.
