Crazy lady in washroom

wwcitizenEvery now and then when I come out of the elevator on my floor, I can hear the washing machines or dryers going in the washroom across from our condo. Of late, one of the washing machines has been out of service, so I would glance in there to see if the sign's been taken down or not. Tonight was no different, except hearing the machines running (not sure if it was the dryers or a washing machine), I noticed that the light was turned off, which many people do on our floor thankfully - no use in wasting electricity.
I glanced back into the room to see the crazy lady from down the hall staring back at me out of the darkness, me heading for my door now in a panic. It sooooo creeped me out that I quick got into my condo, closed and locked the door and the padlock. Not that she would necessarily come pounding at my door to let her in or she would try to knock down the door, but just a measure of seeming security would be afforded me right as I was getting home. Matt was out at the nursing home, so it was quite off-putting.
Does anyone else have weird folks living close to them or people you would consider crazy? We've seen this woman "hiding" out in that room before. Guaranteed from the way she smells, she's not washing HER clothes. God forbid she take a shower...
When Matthew got home and I relayed this story to him, he freaked out. He told me that he found her in the dark one time in the garbage disposal room with the door closed. He opened the door, turned on the light, freaked out, "calmed down" enough to open the chute (making her get out of the way), throw his stuff in the chute and then, quite literally, ran back into the condo. Very strange woman.
