Is it freshly popped?

This afternoon, I've ended my baby-sitting with my project team since it doesn't seem they need my direct and unending support today. So, after lunch, I went for a really long walk for about an hour. It's a really beautiful day. When I came back, I had a couple of good vendor-related conversations, got some fruit from the cafeteria upstairs, and decided on some microwave popcorn all as a snack. I entered my calories for the fruit and the impending popcorn online. When I came back from the microwave, I started offering popcorn to everyone, some taking one piece or two, and others taking handfuls, which I had hoped. I saw this girl from the other side of the room look at me, and I offered her some, too, and she said, "Is it freshly popped?" I replied (quite quickly, too!), "Nope, just the kernels!" and shook the bag a little. A burst of laughter rang through the room and the girl started laughing, too, and took a small handful. I couldn't believe I came back with that so quickly! lol
