Rainy days on Monday

For some, it's most frequent that rainy days can be depressing, but for me they're sometimes reflective. They make me think of lots of things and consider the pros and cons of things. This morning when a bald guy got on the bus in a suit, but wearing boots (odd for NY), I thought about places I'd been such as Oklahoma and Texas. And because this guy looked especially odd, like he, too, was very pensive, he reminded me of some trekkers I'd seen on a Trekkers documentary movie a few years ago. Memories of the movie and of Star Trek made me consider a world without money, the exchange of gold, or bartering for stuff. Interesting to think about for sure. I wonder if it would ever be possible for people to not have money or stuff as their primary reason for living - to amass stuff and wealth - but to appreciate knowledge, experience, and wisdom as more vital to one's life.
All that and more in a mere 30-minute ride into Manhattan on a rainy Monday.
