Shiver Me Timbers!!
Oct. 15th, 2009 02:56 amHaving chills tonight - the same ones that Matt was having in DC on Sunday night (it usually takes me a few days longer to get bugs than him and my bugs don't typically last nearly as long as with him, either - thank goodness!).
Got a fever of 101.5, taking Tamiflu (didn't really wanna take it because of the possible side effects, but I'm not having any - yet), ingested Tylenol (which I didn't wanna take), and am drinking lots of liquids. We went to the doctor today for a visit and he saw both of us - together as a couple (love this doctor!). He wasn't examining me, but still gave me prescriptions since I'd probably end up with Matt's symptoms. And voila! Here they are!
Not feeling as bad as Matt, but I don't really like chills. Who does?
My BP is up there, too, but there's a different reason for that! United Healthcare and Medco together can suck. If my doctor's front office ladies have to deal with either company, they simply don't. They choose not to!!! We discovered hen I called on Monday from DC about my BP meds that our doctors RNs won't call Medco because "they keep them on hold too long and this is a doctor's office". That's so totally unprofessional, I was beyond words and very shocked.
It's working out now, but I've been without my BP meds for two days thanks to their incompetence and unwillingness to do their jobs. Yes, I lodged a complaint with my doctor, who apologized profusely.
So, now it's time to get on the mend again. Yay, fall!
