My birthday

Yesterday, Matt got up at 4:15 AM (!!!) and decorated the apt for about an hour, which surprised me (a little - cuz I sorta caught him in the act...) and was really cute. I opened birthday gifts till about 2:00 PM and then we took off to go to Anthos - a Greek restaurant on 52nd; REALLY good, but very expensive.

We went to see Young Frankenstein, but from being completely toasted from the martinis and wine, we both kept falling asleep off and on during the first half. I kept trying to stay awake - even tried chewing gum incessantly; Matt fell asleep, too, which made me feel less awful about my periodic outages. Still, it was a good show and we had a lot of fun. Unfortunately, the headliners we thought were supposed to be in the show weren't; Matt spent a lot of money on the tickets - had great seats.

When we got home, we had a little birthday cake, which made us feel really gross. Got to bed kinda late last night and out of bed kinda late this morning/afternoon.

Off to play Underground 2 racing game on Xbox.

My battery

It's wonderful being free for a little while. Jumped my car today (haven't driven my Passat since Thanksgiving - almost 9 months!!). The battery has been completely dead and was practically empty of water, too, which lessens the possibility of keeping a charge. I'm going to see how long this charge lasts - when it dies - even if I can't start the car - I'll know whether I need a new one or not. Hopefully I won't need a new one; this one I just got last year, but haven't fully charged it enough. I need to take it out tomorrow for a good drive to charge up the battery. I figure we could drive out to the Delaware Water Gap and go walking/hiking either tomorrow or Friday. We didn't get to Great Adventure on Monday cuz I slept too long, so we're hoping to do that tomorrow with Matt's sister and her kids. Should be fun.
