I'm waiting for a bus at New York's Port Authority. The door next to me is locked but usually open and/or unlocked for ease of access to the bus terminals. There is another, wider door open behind me, which I came through when I saw others not getting into this one.

Every 2 seconds someone tries to get through the door that's locked. It's kind of a shame that they couldn't put up a sign, a traffic cone, or something to let people know not to try using the door before they get to it. I have been watching the people on the other side of the door buy bus tickets and wait in line to buy themselves a bus fare.

There are NJ Transit workers standing here on my side taking notes for something, possibly how many people are waiting in my line and for how long. Not sure. Wonder what they're noting. I can imagine that they're union workers thinking, "Puttin up a sign ain't my job." Unlocking that door ain't my job. I'm here to take arbitrary notes that don't mean anything."

It's really interesting to see how many people actually use this door in a given 30-min period! And the same woman who tried the door from this side went around to the other side to buy a ticket, then came back to try the door from the other side to no avail.

IT'S LOCKED!!!!

Funny thing is I'm not the only person who noticed the door fiasco. Or kerfuffel. Or a fiascafuffel
