Gr8 Evening Out on the Town

wwcitizenWe had such a fun evening. First we showed up to Elettaria (Latin for Cardamom (sp??)) For dinner and had fun. I had a glass of wine at the bar (trying to be a good boy) then decided to chuck the diet for one night - a little - and got an 8th Wonder mixed drink. OMG... Fantastic drink!! Cardamom tea and chai-infused bourbon with some other stuff. So tasty that in between the scallops, halibut, and chocolate ganache over a cakey pudding, I had three of the drinks.
Great conversation and company - a friend of ours we "inherited" from an outing with Matt's sister a year ago. She's now oddly jealous that we all hang out.
Then when we were making our way out of the city, we stopped at one of "our" bars for me to pee and got invited to summer BBQs by friends in Kearny - NYC artists. After that, we drove by a friend's building and I felt the need to call him - Carl - a dear friend of ours. Matt and I both have missed seeing him and hanging with him - he used to bowl with me, but he needed to break from that.
We had a great time talking and catching up. Now we're sitting in traffic with no reason and definitely no rhyme. Just backed up traffic and what looks like an arbitrary work site on the West Side Hwy. Wanna get home and go to bed.
