Train Horn

So, we're heading down the tracks after stopping between Spring and Canal Streets for a bit and the conductor starts blowing his horn between stops! It was the kind of horn blowing a conductor does down a regular track out in the country when heading towards a road crossing that doesn't have a traffic arm.

Does that mean there are ROUSs, construction workers, or homeless folks in the subway tunnels? I have to wonder...
