The Early Bus with Road Kill
Mar. 26th, 2008 07:10 amThis is one of the nicest buses. It seems like the newest in the fleet, but also seems to have fewer seats. There's so much room for each passenger, the ceiling is not as dark, the lighting is better (what gay guy wouldn't notice that, I ask you?!), and there are more sideways seats and bars for standers. The other interesting thing that makes the bus appear airier (is that a word?) Is that there are no overhead luggage / baggage compartments. These buses remind me of the German mass transit buses, whic offer very pleasant rides indeed.
Thing is, we don't get these buses at my normal time of 7:45 to 8:30 - ever! This is one of the earlier buses; I caught it at 7:05. I'm heading to a meeting in midtown for project management topics. Should be interesting! Plus, my husbear told me I'm looking dapper: I'm wearing my new black worsted wool slacks, Kenneth Cole shiny black shoes, blue/black striped Michael Kors dress shirt, and Ruffini sportscoat.
And ew, we just ran over skunk road kill. That is the worst!
