There are certain things in life...
Aug. 11th, 2006 07:02 pm... that you just don't wanna end, you know? Take this Google video slash Flash animation for instance:
I think it's such a cool video, and I didn't want it to end.
Another thing was this nap I took this afternoon. I wanted to spend the afternoon with Matt, for sure, but while he was finishing up his afternoon chicken-cooking project, I thought I'd lay down on the couch and watch the morning news (we had it Tivo'd). I was having cool dreams, and it was soooo relaxing after an extremely BORING week... and late nights cuz I didn't really wanna go to work. Funny thing was, I kept waking up enough to fast-forward through the commercials (deep subconscious issues (and pet peeves) with unnecessary and oppressive American advertising)...
I didn't want that nap time to end.
I also didn't really want my birthday weekend to end, either, though it was inevitable. Had a BLAST!! My best friend came up from Trenton, and he and I and Matt (who drove) went to the Bronx for the day - Lil Italy. Ate our way from the south part of the neighborhood to the north part near Fordham. Then took a leisurely drive (whilst I napped in the car) down Riverside Dr (beautiful!!!) in the Upper West Side, down to Broadway, and then eventually (about an hour later) to Lucky Cheng's. Sucky food, scary and somewhat interesting entertainment by a whole bunch of drag queens (loved the bartender the best - Anita Greencard). The other highlight was the balloon blower who made me a balloon hat with two guys fucking and the one behind doing a reach-around. Amazing, really. Then on Sunday, Matt took me into the city for a surprise brunch with friends. About 10 friends showed up and we ate at the Garage. It was great! There were other people who weren't there I wish could have been (Kris and Scott, Peter, and others). When we arrived home, I truly and honestly wanted to spend at least one more day with just Matt and Matt alone with me... to cuddle and play Pick-Up-Sticks or watch TV, or play an XBox game... that would have been the best birthday gift, and the best surprise. He did so much for me that weekend and is always so sweet. He's my special and one-and-only man. I love him so much.
