Another hottie day!

wwcitizenMy husbear rode with me to work again today! What great eye-candy! My favorite kind, actually - PLUS, he was decked out in a handsome suit (I have a secret love of hot men in suits. There's nothing like ripping into professional attire in the evening and slipping on his tie... but I digress...).
Actually, let me re-phrase. His re-dressing himself made me late for my bus (left to his own devices, he would have put on a double-breasted suit for sure - he's got 3!). So, he drove me down to the ferry area, dropped me off, and I RAN to a bus, which got me into the city on time. And the REASON he had to re-dress himself was because he's lost almost 40 pounds!! The suits we bought him a couple of years ago are now quite literally falling off of him. The same goes for me. I had to switch pants this morning for the same reason, and the pants I have on now are way too loose. It's a great feeling actually. AND, I can't WAIT to go shopping to replace my largest pants.
I really had let myself go these last couple of years, and bloated to the largest I had ever been. I was so very uncomfortable and tired easily. Now, I have soooo much energy and a normal walk for me is at about 3-3.5 miles per hour. That's a pretty fast clip. But the main difference is that I'm now commuting with public transportation. I am better able to push myself to walk a bit extra every day or more each week along side re-learning how to eat properly (controlling my portions, making sure the stuff I eat is chock-full of vitamins and minerals, and keeping my caloric intake low).
Matt's interviews today were, again, in Manhattan - a call back from a university for its corporate face, and a first interview with a news agency. Very cool stuff - both web development related and pretty high on the "food" chain. Either one would be impressive for him to get, but at the university, he could get a masters and a doctorate (if he wanted them) for free! Plus, if we get married or have a civil union, I might get to take advantage of it, too! That'd be exciting.
