SNOW DAY!!

wwcitizenIsn't snow BEAUTIFUL? It is coming down REALLY hard up here. I had thought, "Eh… it's not that bad; I could drive in this…" Then I called the NJ Turnpike Authority (automated system to check weather & driving conditions on the turnpike – great # to have – 800-336-5875) at around 6:15 AM. Speed: 45 mph. At 7:45 AM, it was 35 mph and vehicle restrictions are in place. WAHOO!! Then called my company weather hotline – not opening till 10 AM today! I have back to back meetings till noon, so I don't think I'm going into the office today.
We ain't goin' nowheres. Cleaned the kitchen (Matt's feverishly working on cookies and Eye-talian desserts for Christmas) and made a fresh pot of coffee... now looking at the snow coming down (beautiful!) and had thought last night, "You know... I'm going to make an effort to get into the office this morning, no matter the weather conditions." Gladly, though, our site isn't scheduled to open till 10 AM and the roads up here are horrendous enough to want to stay off of them.
Might head to Mickey D's later (next door) for a fresh sausage, egg, and cheese McMuffin or biscuit. Matt's under the weather and has been for the last few days, but is feeling better now. I've got the sniffles and a little cough, but nothing really to sneeze at (hehehe).
