Honestly...
Apr. 1st, 2009 10:40 pmOne of my most favorite days of the year is April 1. I guess it's because the rest of the year I don't lie about ANYTHING.
But, today, I pulled the wool over a few people's eyes: Matt (the patient, patient love of my life), Matt (the same guy - like three more times...), my sisters (maybe),
martini_tim (twice),
kenwoodville (at least once),
squirreltot,
mort_83 (maybe just once?), and
cajuncountry. I sincerely hope that many, many others were considering writing a response to one of my April Fools replies or post, but waited till I fessed up... I would almost be willing to bet that
azbearchaser79,
madlizard,
sparkygearhead and
erstexman were probably thinking about replying, but a couple of them are on Facebook and have seen me doing stuff all day.
I even claimed on Facebook to have "become a card-carrying member of the NRA today and sent $100 to the Republican Party. I'm tired of all this economy crap!" One of my non-LJ friends there replied with, "April Fool's??"
To be fair, I got the idea for my April Fools of going to London to see the demonstration based on
martini_tim's response to my reply to one of his posts from yesterday. (THANKS TIM!!)
I got all of the demonstration images from Google Images, but strategically placed real photos of me on a bridge with St. Paul's in the background from a 2006 trip to London. And I did take a short nap today.
So, I confess; my London last-minute trip is not real and we didn't see the demonstrations in person (had to confess before the pumpkin carriage arrived). But we are really, truly, and honestly going to the Bahamas in a couple of weeks. I swear. And thanks for being such sweet, gullible, lovely (forgiving), and understanding people - oh and for making me giggle.
