Atlantis Resort
Apr. 17th, 2009 07:17 pmTomorrow, as I've mentioned many times, we're heading to the Bahamas for the first time in our lives. While it should be fun, Matthew downloaded a book called, "The Bahamas for Dummies". In the book, there's a chapter called, "What To Do When Your Wallet Gets Stolen". That didn't settle very well with us at all. I should have gone to get travelers' cheques, but I didn't get a chance to today and the AAA office is so out of the way up here.
The resort is the Atlantis Resort and Casino, which many of us know because of the World's Strongest Man competitions. Yep, that's the place.
Although I've looked through things to do at the resort, the adventurist in me wants to explore the island. I know that Matthew would not be too keen on us going, so I'll probably not press him to go. We'll still have a good time, although it will seem kinda plastic just staying on the resort property and not venturing out to "experience the local culture". That's probably not a good idea - especially since we'll only be there for 4.5 days. If it were two weeks, well that would definitely be a different story.
SCORE!! I just discovered they have deep tissue massage. Substantially more than I've ever paid "on the mainland", but being that it's where I'll be, I suppose I'll take advantage of that. Looking forward to a relaxing time at the beach.
