Bees Are Still in Danger

Apparently, scientists are still stumped by the reduction in bee population worldwide and the disease theory can't be proven. The most viable theory out there right now is the "perfect storm" theory of dozens of factors bringing down the populations. However, what's strange is other colonies of bees not coming near the deserted colonies and that it's a global phenomenon - not just US-specific. Here's an article about the bees - interesting read, though sad that we don't know more about bees than we do, their numbers are declining, and we rely so heavily on their work!!

Gay Marriage vs. Prop 8 Review

My heart goes out to the 18,000 couples (36,000 people - some with children in the mix) whose marital status is (very sadly) stands in the balance today - meanwhile just across the border, hetero couples can marry on a whim - as many times as they want to - and get divorced without remorse.

In such an instance of a fly-by wedding (possibly in a drunken stupor), any foreigner getting married in Vegas to an American (even mail-order brides!!) has more rights automatically and instantaneously than gay people born in this nation. This sickens me.
