wwcitizen: (Love The Hair!)
The subject of this post was almost "disaster" instead of disappointment. Matt and I had been trying to schedule a hair appointment with our stylist for two weeks to no avail. Either she wasn't around or we weren't. I have been growing my hair out and getting it to look really good - even bought new product - and professional. Matt wants now to get a Super Cuts clip, which is fine cuz he's just getting it whacked for the summer. I'm not there yet. I'd like to get highlights for one, and those are better with longer hair, right? Well, being desparate to have this mop o' mine tamed a bit, I went to a place I'd passed by 100 times on the way to work. Looked half decent - called Jean Louis Designs - ooh lah lah - Fronch.

That, of course, made a little skeptical. What started off the bad vibes in the place was that I signed myself in. The other turnoff was that it was $26 for just a haircut. THEN the bitch whips out CLIPPERS - for $27 - and I asked her nicely if she had to use them. She said (with the thickest accent), "these are better clippers than these - just for a trim, they're Ok.".

I should have gotten up, thanked her nicely and lefted - no matter that she'd just sprayed my hair; however, I stayed. Much to my chagrin.

While I was gripping my legs in shock at the zzzzt!! and the other deeper zzzzzt!! from the back of my head a few times, I started planning out my hair rectification (yep - just made that up! Hope it's a word!). Next weekend - 1.5 weeks after THIS disappointment - I'll go back to Celia (my stylist) and swear my devotion to her shears.

Oh, to have quicker growing hair...

That, of course, all made me skeptical. What exacerbated the bad vibes in the place was that I signed myself in. Next that it was $26 for just a haircut. THEN the bitch whips out CLIPPERS - for $26 - and I asked her nicely if she had to use them or if she wouldn't mind using scissors. She said (with the thickest accent), "these are better clippers than these - just for a trim, they're Ok." and showed me two sets of clippers. "I'll do what you want me to do but these clippers are fine."

I should have gotten up, thanked her nicely and lefted - no matter that she'd just sprayed my hair; however, I stayed. Much to my chagrin.
