It helps to be a little light on your feet when running 1.5 blocks to catch the bus. There are bus drivers that even though you run and run and make it to the stop just as they've closed the door, will pull away and not pick you up. A bus driver can't NOT see a 48-chested 5'11" linebacker-built bear running toward his/her bus. But there haven't been any dick-ish drivers of late.

I'm sitting in the back of the bus watching the New York skyline pass me to the left through my morning's picture window. It seems like they've discovered bedrock further north of midtown such that they're comfortable building taller high-rises than I though allowed. I think we're at about 95th Street level but on the Jersey side, just north of John Lennon's building, there are two new buildings going up higher than the rest around them. I was wondering about that last night coming home, and it just now hit me again. Hmmmm...

Boy somebody's breath (behind me) REALLY stinks!!

There's a new bus stop across from the light rail stop at Port Imperial, but no one knows where it is. Even the bus drivers aren't sure. There were signs posted at the old ones directly in front of the ferry station that told people about the change in the stop, but it wasn't clear where it is.

Funny thing is, or frustrating as it may be for some, the bus drivers don't yet realize that people are waving for them to stop at the new, unknown bus stop, and other people are waiting at the old one from time to time.

I've been to the stop once since the change (Apr 5), but have seen people running between the stops almost every day since they changed it. Although people are getting their (albeit imposed) exercise there, the whole thing could have been planned and executed better.

There weren't enough cops this morning for my taste at the entrance to the Lincoln Tunnel. Not that I'm worried about security in the least, but I just like seeing our finest in polyester and boots on the way to work through my picture window. Like the haphazard construction workers around Port Imperial. Fun eye candy!

I ran into the lumberjack yesterday. I was taking the light rail to Pavonia/Newport, which is unusual for me, so I was surprised to see him. We both typically get on the rail to Hoboken.

He was surprised to see me too and we had a nice conversation about antioxidant screening (previous post) and bowling. Our last conversation was about his tennis playing and watching it on TV...

Matt and I regularly get these ads for LeatherUp.com. Great site and we've purchased quite a few things from there, including our leather pants, which now don't fit (YAY and sad...). They're REALLY comfortable, but now they slide off us. Anyone interested in purchasing practically BRAND new leather pants - 44x30 or 42x32 sixes? They'll go cheaper than on the LeatherUp.com website! And they're already hemmed.

The only problem is now we wanna buy new leather pants and chaps. Here are some that I really like, but they don't have our sizes!!! UGH! They have bubba sizes, but not pseudo-svelt bear sizes...

Retro Brown Chaps

Normal Brown Chaps

Oh and here are some GREAT leather biker jackets - can you tell I like the brown ones? They're so different than all the rest and look cooler in my opinion - sold out, though!!
