No one slept on the bus this morning into Manhattan. From the time the bus driver yanked that bus out of the garage, he barely stopped to pick up passengers. A real Mario Andretti. No speed bump was too big and no curve too tight for this guy. No, not one - of either! The steeper the hill, the less he used the breaks. The deeper the pothole, the better he aimed at the abyss, not caring two hoots about the passngers' backs, knees, heads, or neighbors. Needless to say, we got into Manhattan in record time - 30 minutes on the dot.

Wow. I didn't know former NC Senator, John Edwards, has a 28,000 sq. foot house outside Chapel Hill! Who really needs that size house when he's running around the country campaigning (he's got an indoor pool, indoor basketball court, and multiple other buildings on 102 acres)? And especially when he's claiming there are two Americas and he "wants to lessen America's poverty. It's clear which one of the Americas he's from. Where does his money come from? He paid $5.3 million for his monstrous house, too. Wonder for what kind of good $5.3 million would have done for NC's poverty-stricken. That sum of money could go towards community outreaches, civil centers, a local free clinic, or many other things. Meanwhile, he's bringing in a Beverly Hills celebrity stylist to do his hair at $400 a pop, and on at least two occassions spending $200+ at spas that typically cater to women. If he were just a businessman, it'd be no big deal. But once he started espousing his "plan for a brighter future" and shirking his senatorial responsibilities in order to run for president, it was obvious what type of person he is. His actions smack of Clinton's race and activities in the early 90s.

That sickens me.

Oh, and another thing - a black guy in NYC captured and assaulted a girl (I can only assume white - papers don't mention otherwise) from Columbia University for 19 HOURS, tortured her, poured gas around the apt., lit the fire and left, meanwhile stealing her ATM card, getting money and skipping town. Where are Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson now? Why aren't they helping the cause of that girl and trying to "pull out all stops" to find the perp?

That sickens me.

I saw the potential cop today! What's funny is he's now back standing at the same corner where the traffic cone replaced him for a short stint. Thing is, he must stand there for HOURS. This week, for example, I have come into the city at different times, but overall the time span is about 1-2 hours difference... if he's not a cop, I wonder who he's waiting for and why he dresses so very differently each day. It'll be scary if one day we see his picture in the paper or on the news with the headline "Massacre at Port Authority" and he's the shooter.

I don't know how many of you are watching American Idol and I had almost given up on the show BECAUSE of this season. Sanjaya was the greatest abomination on that stage that I have ever seen. He was FINALLY voted off tonight! I was soooo excited to have witnessed Simon Cowell finally delivering a real, non-ambiguous statement about how horrible his singing was. That had to be one of the impetuses that got him off. Off the show, that is. There is a story that if a straight man fucks Sanjaya, he'd still be considered straight.

After the little girl plant on the show, the hair, the hair, the hair, and all the stupid antics, the hair, and the disrespectful comments to his elders (which his culture's supposed to venerate!!) and the hair, I was done with him. I believe that one of my boys (Sundance or Chris Sly) would still have been on the show if he hadn't been allowed to continue being on the show. And by allow, I do mean certain people on American Idol. They probably had the entire set voting for Sanjaya. Antonio Banderas admitted as much that he voted SEVEN TIMES for his candidate. How's that democratic??? I wonder if anyone picked up on that?? No one seemed to pick up on the fact that one night that Sanjaya stayed on afterwards, the camera panned out over the audience revealing a sign that read, "Vote Sanjaya! Vote for our people!" or something along those lines. I can't believe that Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson didn't see that and raise awareness... but I guess it didn't promote white people and it wasn't directly an afront to blacks that it didn't really weigh in.

FINALLY! Justice has been served. The bitch is gone. I cannot wait to read the blogs or hear the interviews of the people from this season once their contracts of silence are over to understand what actually went on behind the scenes, etc.

That's my soapbox. I'm done. I'm happy. I'm content. Now, I'll probably watch American Idol to the end. YAY! Sanjaya's GONE!
