Disney Synopsis

I hadn't been to Disney since about 1997 when I went with my dad (before I was out). I got hit on majorly by this guy who drove the ferry around Tom Sawyer Island. But, be that history as it was, this time around topped all my visits put together. It was over the top, actually.

We stayed in the Contemporary Resort where the monorail runs through it (as well as two other resorts on the same line), and were in walking distance of the Magic Kingdom. The only drawback to the fantastic room we got overlooking a lake was that in the morning we heard the Mickey Mouse song about 6 times starting at about 7:40 each morning. That was so maniacal, that I still dream I can hear the song tearing through the door.

We did EVERY single park and were there for a grand total of 7 days. The food was pretty good (not the breakfasts, though - one character breakfast is enough for enthusiastic adults - 4 is overboard). After the Halloween Party on Oct. 30 (Oct. 31 was completely sold out), we were able to enjoy the other parks as adults with beer or wine in hand. One day we went through EPCOT specifically for the Food and Wine Festival. Though expensive, we tasted foods and wines from the 20-30 different countries and cities represented.

The best part about the whole week was I got to spend tons of time with my man, Matthew, and his wonderful family. The kids were so cute - especially the youngest one who, when she saw Winnie the Pooh, said as loud and clearly as she could, "Hi Pooh!" over and over again till Pooh came over. Then when he got there, she said it again ever so softly. How sweet was she!

I have other stories to share that deserve their own spot in my memory collections. Some of them I'll try to eke out this weekend. G'nite!
